The SOS movement continues to advocate to an end to immigration systems that trap vulnerable people in cycles of abuse by tying their legal residency to sponsors (spouses or employers).

This dependency creates a deadly power imbalance where abusers weaponize deportation threats to enforce silence, trapping victims in exploitation, and modern slavery.

This is especially catastrophic, for those with nowhere safe to return like war victims or those from communities that practice honor-based, cultural or state violence. This petition will be directed at the UK Home Office and the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Domestic Violence and Abuse.
